The Javelin is also the first-ever wing with on-the-fly power tuning thanks to its Canopy Tensioning Strap that regulates the power by flattening or expanding the wing's profile. The two-piece Javelin boom** fits wing sizes from 2.5m to 7.5m and breaks down for travel with two simple push pins.

Slingshot Javelin V1 - At a Glance
Slingshot has stepped into the world of booms with wings now. Some riders swear by the boom, others say no way I'll only ride with handles. This is my first time really giving booms a try and so far I like it more than I thought I would. The boom attachment is brilliant, super clean and easy to install to make the setup process seamless and fast. First off, the boom is a more direct contact with the wing so right away I can feel every gust or lack of wind in the wing in comparison to soft handles. This direct feel has the advantage of being able to manipulate the wing better while wave riding or trying to perform tacks while overpowered. The boom is heavy an after riding for an hour I can definitely feel like I'm working a lot harder to move the wing back and forth between my hands. Overall, I feel Slingshot has done a great job putting together a wing with a boom that performs well in all circumstances. If you haven't tried a wing with a boom, give the Slingshot Javelin a try you may be stoked on it.
