The O'Neill Legend Mutant 4/3+ Wetsuit is my go to suit for any cold water activity. The 4/3+ indicates that the wetsuit thickness is 4.5/3.5mm. I have used a variety of cold water wetsuits over the years and I can confidently say that this 4/3+ is warmer than most 5/4’s I have used. The coolest feature that often gets overlooked is that this wetsuit has the option to be hooded or non hooded! This has been such a great feature on surf trips down the west coast where you need a hood until you get to Central California and then you can just switch the attachment and have the same suit you love in a non hooded version.
