The 6’ 8” LT is a little bit longer version of a board that I made for myself during the lockdown, wanting to find something that would still have the feeling of a longer rail line and of course paddle power but also quick and responsive when the waves were good. It has a fair amount of rocker and carries a little bit of foam through the nose and under your chest for paddle and glide but is pretty foiled out through the tail, all with the idea of performing when there’s a little bit of shape and push.

Lib Tech A Lopez LT Surfboard - At a Glance

Alex Lopez a master shaper has taken one of his favorite twin fin mid-lengths and teamed up with the crew at Lib Tech. This LT comes in at 6'8" which in my opinion is a perfect length for anyone looking to have good glide and maneuverability in one board. The board possess outstanding paddle power getting into waves early and generating more than enough speed in small weak waves. For surf traveling or for the person who wants only one surfboard, this to me is a perfect option. On smaller days I would put in a more upright fin for tight turns in small pockets. On the bigger days I would put in more of a keel for extra hold and drive on bigger face waves. All-around great board for anyone who wants to have fun on a twin fin with the durability of a Lib Tech construction.
