Alaska Air Cargo Pick-Up
You want to buy a surfboard over 8'6" or a longer DW Foilboard but can't make it to our store in Bellingham, WA! Starting now we provide deliveries through Alaska Air Cargo for anyone who wants to purchase a larger board, that was beyond our typical methods of shipping.
Fast, reliable, and built for oversized boards—Alaska Air Cargo gets your surfboard where it needs to go safely and on time. Enjoy careful handling, nationwide coverage, real-time tracking, and a faster option in comparison to ground deliveries.
How it works
- First, you need to be able to pick up your board at one of the Alaska Air Cargo Locations (listed below).
- Second, when we bring your board to the airport to get shipped out we will get a unique tracking number that we will pass onto you so that you can track it at all times. You can enter your tracking number on the (Alaska Air Cargo Tracking page).
- Third, once your board arrives at the destination airport, check your tracking number online. You’ll see it marked as “arrived at destination”. Most Alaska Air Cargo shipments are picked up at the airport’s cargo terminal, not the passenger terminal.
- Finally, You’ll need a government-issued ID and your tracking number to release the shipment. Before leaving the terminal, check your surfboard for any damage. Cargo staff can document issues for claims if needed.
Take your NEW BOARD out, go have fun and tell us what you think of it.

Torq TEC Chopper Surfboard
The Chopper is a super versatile shape – it’s got the volume and length to pick-up knee-high waves or to get an early takeoff in well overhead surf.
The design has a bit of volume forward and a low entry rocker so it has a nice forward trim feel on an open face or in small conditions. There’s a nice bit of foam under your chest making it paddle well without feeling big and corky.
In the tail of the board, the more modern refinement on a classic style egg shows – the pulled in tail combined with a low rail, single to double concave and smooth exit rocker makes this unexpectedly lively when surfed from the tail.
It has a 2+1 fin set up and can be ridden as 2+1, single or twin.
Construction
Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our vacuum epoxy layup. Vacuum epoxy uses a hand lay-up process, with a vacuum bonding process to bind the fiber to the board and remove excess resin. We have a few tricks in the vacuum process that keeps the resin content at a much better level than can usually be achieved.
How do TEC Surfboards surf?
The performance is very direct – TEC has an immediate response that is especially good in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves the advantage is they are a lot less likely to break. If you’re used to PU they feel quick at first. After a few surfs, your old PU will feel very slow!
