The 3 piece is your all-around pad. It is a medium-size without middle height arch, middle height kick and a diamond-cut texture. It has plenty of grip: providing a secure feeling but without too much of a locked-in feel allowing some foot adjustment. It is a versatile pad for most boards - the 3 piece cut spreads to fit most tail widths, including mid-lengths - and the design suits most surfing style, from performance to cruisey.
