Armstrong recently released their new UHA (ultra high aspect) foil lineup to the delight of foilers who prioritize efficiency and glide. The UHA foils now sit alongside Armstrong's diverse foil ranges consisting of the S1 foils, mid aspect foils, and their high aspect foils. The UHA foil range consists of seven sizes ranging from 570 to 1270 square centimeters, all with an aspect ratio of 12.6.

These foils excel in efficiency, if you are looking to get the most out of small bumps these are the best foils in the Armstrong range. For all downwind foil disciplines these are going to be the go to foil for riders who want to make downwind runs easier. Additionally, these foils can simply keep up with faster moving swell than any other foil in the range. If you are riding fast, open water ground swell, the UHA is the foil for you.
The V2 high aspect foils from Armstrong will continue to be current in their lineup and are no way replaced by the UHA line. The HAV2 foils will stay as the most versatile efficient foil in the lineup - they are a bit more user friendly and will turn more fluidly than the UHA foils. That being said, the UHA foil range is surprisingly user friendly, pitch stable, and turns well for their ultra high aspect ratio.
I find personally that the HAV2 foils offer enough efficiency for me when wing foiling and I do not want to sacrifice the turning so BUT as a relatively new parawinger I have been loving the UHA foils and would not want to be riding anything else - it just makes connecting bumps easier. I ride the HAV2 680 for wing foiling and the UHA870 for parawinging. - Ethan
