Channel Islands Average Joe Surfboard
Channel Islands Average Joe 5'11" Surfboard - At a Glance
Channel Islands Average Joe
Over the last six years and hundreds of stops on our demo tour, we have learned a few things. One of those is that surfers sometimes want something simple, fun, and easy to ride. Light single concave for the first 1/3 to deepening concave vee throughout. The Joe can be surfed off the rail or tail that has AI's signature hip tail templet to keep drive. Full rails keep high volume in a short outline.
Increase wave count, make more sections. The average Joe is geared towards the things that make surfing fun.
Channel Island first and foremost is performance-based and athlete driven, but not everyone's next paycheck hinges on how critical their equipment works.
Since 1969, Channel Island Surfboards (CI) has been dedicated to performance and quality through hard work, innovation, and originality. CI Surfboards was created by AI and Terry Merrick in 1969. Now, Britt Merrick is the lead shaper and designer for CI and carries on the family tradition of developing high-performance board designs collaborating with the world's greatest surfers. From Tom Curren, to Dane Reynolds, CI continuous to evolve with the highest standard of surfing. Surftech is proud to partner with CI to bring Surftech's art of technology to their proven shapes.
This board is a Surftech Tuflite construction, making it more durable than the C.I. construction.
