Lib Tech x Lost KA Swordfish Surfboard
Matt and Kolohe's good time's hometown project. The wave catching and speed of a fish meets the high-performance desires of one of the world's best performance surfers.
The 5'9" is actually Kolohe’s personal preferred specs... a little more narrow and a little thinner makes the volume a little lower than the 5'8”. You can find the 5'9" Exacta here.
What makes it a B-Grade? Occasionally a board comes off the line with a cosmetic blemish and in the quality control department at the Lib factory, it becomes a B-Grade. Generally that means you get the same great board and save a few bucks in the process. All B-Grade boards are covered under the same warranty, perform to the same standard as an A-Grade and often times are sought after for being truly one of a kind and unique. Give us a call with any questions on any B-Grade Beauties!
Technologically tougher - Environmentally Nicer!
Lib Tech is dedicated to boarding riding and hands-on high-tech board building. We have spent a lifetime of surfing, shaping, and working with alternative, high-performance, environmentally friendly materials, and constructions. Traditional surfboard construction has always felt too fragile and the build process is toxic and unhealthy for the planet and craftspeople. We know there had to be a way..
Mike Olson and our experiMENTAL division applied our 35+ years of hands-on board building experience to the task of building a better surfboard. In the process, we completely rewrote the book on surfboard construction. Every component we use in our ecoIMPACTO surf construction is completely new to the surf industry. Our Thermo fusion process radically minimizes resin exposure and sanding while creating amazingly durable, environmentally friendly, high-performance surf structures that will free your mind and lift your surfing to new heights.
Lib Tech 2022 Lost KA Swordfish B-Grade - At a Glance
The Swordfish is an interesting board to hold under your arm. On one hand it looks hi-performance with its narrow tail, pulled in nose and significant rocker up front. On the flip side it's a got a fish tail with a fair amount of foam in the belly of the board. Combined overall I feel it was designed to be a performance hybrid. The board absolutely rips turns with power and defiantly wants to be ridden rail to rail in all wave conditions. I personally like this board in waves more shoulder high that have some decent push behind them. Overall, I would recommend this board to an intermediate surfer who is progressing towards the level of having more than one surfboard in the quiver.- Ethan
